I hear that. I think if domestic partners were granted the same privileges as spouses, there would be a whole lot fewer marriages. And thus divorces.

My feelings on marriage waver: Our society is constructed to give credibility to husbands and wives that are not also given to boyfriends and girlfriends. But I'm also leery of having a repeat experience of my marriage (and ensuing divorce).
