I love the escapism of the show (and the fashion!) but honestly I'd choose neither, if I were Emily. Gabriel clearly isnt the right guy as is evidenced by the multiple instances of bad timing; I dont believe in right guy wrong time. I think it's just wrong guy.

Alfie could have potential but the fact that she went running to Gabriel in the end to tell him she was staying for him... means that she's just not feeling it with Alfie. Rather than settle, I would cut them both loose and be open and available for something better.
