I love this minimizing the list. For years, I made jewelry or edible gifts from the kitchen for everyone on my list. This year, I have a new parter (with a huge family) and their tradition is to get everyone on the list a gift, around $5/recipient. HOLY MOLY! I suggested that we do a $75-100 cap next year, but do it classy white elephant gifts that people will actually fight over (it will save approximately $600 per person to do it this way, and we can level up what we put together and give).
