This was an Incredibly self-reflective piece and I Thank you for sharing. It also made me snort laugh at least three and a half times. I also also now want to be friends with you.
But in all seriousness, I’ve had similar…queasiness over the idea of people I know reading what I write. I’ve shown a few prices intentionally to my love. He’s read a few other pieces on his own. And I told my mom that I’m on here, writing as a sort of creative therapy, but I’ve told no other friends. I’ve done no marketing or sharing. And I cringe for the day when it gets back to my ex that I’m sharing intimate personal details of our life together.
I think you’re brave. And the slow burn is great because it also gives you a chance to reflect about whether you like the guy as a person and have similar goals and values without getting caught up in the hormones.
